San Diego: June 2011

We went to San Diego for just over a week. Here are a ton of pictures from our trip. We always have so much fun, and are sad to leave. The sun was not shining too much and I must say I missed it a little. Going home to San Diego always makes me miss living there. It's beautiful, green, cool weather and of course my family's there. I'm not gonna lie, filling up my gas tank sucked, paying over six dollars for 2 gallons of milk sucked, paying ten dollars for parking at the fair sucked...in short whenever I go home I miss things about Arizona. And although I still call San Diego home, Arizona is becoming more and more my home. I'm grateful and feel blessed to live in a place that doesn't require so much sacrifice on our family just to afford to live. So here's a mish-mosh of pictures from our trip....

{yes Jacob wears "neon" green flip-flops and Lilly has pink jellies}

{building sand castles with dad}

{Lilly thought it was a sandcastle cake....see below}

{she was literally eating the sand}

{Jacobs new favorite park}

{My mom got Jacob a set of pirate toys, and Darth Vader case to keep them in}

{our 3rd child, monkey we love you}

{Me and my Dad}

{Lilly loves her daddy}

{best kite ever!}

{seaport village}

{I love my Lillian}

{Jacob and me going down the "really really really big slide"}

{I swear I went with Jacob, he was to cool for a pic}

{who needs a double stroller}

{words can not describe the joy that this toy has brought to him}

{this was taken at the fair, but we did get to go the movies while out there, just the two of us}

{games were only a dollar that night, and for some reason the workers were all so nice, they let him play over and over again, winning a toy every time}

{Jacobs a pretty tall 3 year old, so he was big enough to go on most of the rides by himself, not gonna lie it made me nervous, but I was also so proud of him}

{Lilly and my mom have a hard time getting to know each other, Lilly is finally warming up to her}

{my younger sister, everyone thinks we look so much alike but I don't see I all}

{Mr. Frosty...feeding our family ice cream for I don't know 20+ years...}

{he doesn't look scared right?}

Sorry the pictures are totally out of order...

Our next vacation is camping :)

Our early christmas

We went out to San Diego again this year for Christmas. Since we wanted to avoid taking our gifts out there and bringing them back again...we decided to have our very own early Christmas on December 18th. Luckily Jacob is too young to know the difference :)

I grilled steak while Shannon cooked potato wedges, asparagus and made a salad. It was really yummy!

Jacob had two of his favorites: Spaghetti-O's and peaches

It took a few minutes for Jacob to understand what to do with the presents. Once he got started, he wanted to open all the presents!

After Jacob opened all his presents (except his big one), we put him in his room to play with his toys. Then we started to open our presents. I won't go into all the presents, but it was a nice early Christmas.

Halfway! YAY!

We are out in San Diego for Christmas and my tummy has decided to grow right in front of all our eyes! I am now 20 weeks! yay! I can't believe it, it has gone by so fast! And I'm not joking when I say my tummy has grown! I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

P.S. We still don't know what we're having....but we hope to get another ultrasound in a couple weeks. So stay tuned!

San Diego

A couple of weeks ago Jacob and I packed up and headed out to San Diego. We had so much fun playing at the beach. Here's a bunch of pictures, and yes it is a bunch.

We went down to the beach and had a dinner picnic, and the water was so nice. I love how these pictures turned out....

Grandpa and Jacob, I'm sure Grandpa was telling Jacob to watch out for the sand crabs, and how you don't want to get them in your pants.....

Jacobs first "swiss cake roll" He ate both of his, and then later found grandmas and stole it!
My sister and I celebrated our birthdays back in May, but my mom got us tickets to see "Wicked". And after waiting months to cash in our birthday presents, she took us out to dinner and then to the theater. We got some what dressed up, well dressed up for us....And my mom told us all about how when she used used to go to the theater, she'd wear her black velvet dress with crystal jewelry....

Jacob had so much fun, and we will be heading back out there next week for more fun in the sand!
